MORE JACKSON LAKE ROAD PATCHING NEAR FIRE STATION

There was more patching taking place on Jackson Lake Road during the  week of Thanksgiving.  This job was done near the intersection of Jackson Lake Rd. and Georgia Highway 212 near the fire station.  This job was done worse than the patching at the other end of Jackson Lake Rd. near Highway 16.

On Monday, December 15, 2008, the county crew was back out on Jackson Lake Rd. digging up this work.

After the county crew dug it up,  a contractor put the asphalt down.  This is another example of throwing more good money after bad.  We need to know just how much all this work cost the taxpayers—men, equipment time, materials, and contracted labor—for both times the work was done.  This type of problem leaves less money available to do the real work needed on Jackson Lake Road.
